The victim of rape wishes to remain at the same college; her father will speak with the chief minister of Odisha and discuss options in their home state.

After receiving treatment, the MBBS student who was allegedly raped on October 10 outside a private medical college in Durgapur has left the hospital.

Her father stated that despite her family’s concerns about her safety, the Odisha MBBS student who was allegedly raped outside a private medical college in West Bengal wanted to continue her studies there, a day after she had left the hospital where she had been admitted.

The rape that allegedly occurred in Paschim Bardhaman district late on October 10 has led to the arrest of six men, including the student’s male friend. On Friday, the student was discharged from the hospital.

“My daughter is very strong,” he added. I’m concerned for her safety, but she still wants to attend that college. We won’t stop my daughter from pursuing her goals and continuing her education.

The father claims that the student’s family is interested in seeing what amenities Odisha will offer her.

“I can’t decide what to do. I have to talk to my family about what to do. Before I decide, I need to see what amenities my daughter in Odisha will have access to. However, I’ll bring her home in the coming days for a while,” he stated. “After the identification parade, I’ll take my daughter home.”

“Our multispecialty medical board has taken meticulous care of her physical and mental well-being,” the hospital said in a health bulletin released on Friday. After a thorough evaluation by our team of knowledgeable physicians, she has been cleared to be released. She was safely released from the hospital today after this evaluation was properly discussed with her parents.

Sources claim that the student’s parents have told the police and hospital officials that they intend to take her home, but it is still unknown when she will be allowed to leave because the police need to compare her statement with the accused’s statements.

According to the sources, the police were investigating the student’s and her male friend’s WhatsApp conversations. According to the sources, they are recovering some deleted conversations from both of their phones.

A sizable portion of the jungle where the rape is said to have occurred was cordoned off by the police on Thursday. A forensic team came to the scene on Friday and took more samples.

The six defendants are currently being held by the police and are scheduled to appear in court on October 22.
